Study

Changes in health care mean you now need to have a more dynamic, multidisciplinary understanding of all areas of practice - both generic and specialist expertise. This degree with UEA is designed to ensure you are equipped to provide the best, most appropriate health care to your patients while championing the challenges of modern practice.

Structure

Students learn in the areas of enhanced clinical assessment, pathophysiology, law and ethics, in addition to their choice compulsory module (with opportunity to pursue work-based learning or qualitative research). Students meet regularly with peers from other schools within the School of Health Sciences: an inter-professional attitude that encourages good communication and a greater understanding of different roles within the medical profession.

Entry requirements

Open to applicants with a first degree (min 2.2 or equivalent) carrying with it a qualification in a health care profession. Special entry requirements include state registration with a recognised health profession council; appropriate professional experience; those already qualified as an Occupational Therapist; support from their employing organisation.
